Investor Visa

Investor Visa

Canada offers a program that allows immigrant investors to move to the country. The Immigrant Investor Program is currently on hold until further notice, although some investor visas are available through the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program.

Applications made before 1 July 2012 will still be processed, though. For these applications, you will need to show that you have suitable business experience along with sufficient funds to invest.

For these applications, you will need a net worth of at least C$1,600,000, and make a C$800,000 investment. The investment is administered by Canadian immigration, and is used to improve the economy of the Canadian provinces.

Once the investment is made, you will be granted a permanent residency visa. The original investment is returned to you, without interest, after around five years and three months. The processing time does vary, and Global-Migrate’s Canadian immigration consultants can give you the most up-to-date information.

Although this visa category is currently on hold, there are plenty of other ways for skilled business people to migrate to Canada. To find out about alternatives to the Investor visa, call, email, or request a call back from Global-Migrate today.
